Dr. Gianmarco O’Brien is from San Francisco, California. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Combined Sciences at Santa Clara University. After college, Dr. O’Brien worked at MicroDental Laboratories as a dental technician for 6 years. He earned his D.D.S. from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He was inducted as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Tau Kappa Omega Dental Honor Societies, as well as the Phi Kappa Phi National University Honor Society, which is reserved for the top three overall graduates of each class. Following dental school, Dr. O’Brien was accepted into the Advanced Graduate Prosthodontics Program at the UCLA School of Dentistry and earned his specialty certificate. At the time, UCLA only accepted two residents per year from a worldwide application pool. In addition to teaching the pre-doctoral dental students, Dr. O’Brien taught as a faculty member at the UCLA Center for Aesthetic Dentistry with Dr. Ed McLaren, a post-doctoral program for dentists seeking additional training specifically in aesthetic dentistry.
Dr. O’Brien has published in the field of prosthodontics and lectures regularly in California. His presentations always include prosthodontic tips and technics that both restorative and surgical colleagues can use in daily practice.
