David E. Urbanek, DMD, MS is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who practices in greater St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his OMS training at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, and earned his Dental Degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to dental school, Dr. Urbanek earned a Master’s Degree with Honors in Applied Anatomy from the CWRU School of Medicine. During graduate and dental school, he served as a teaching assistant for medical, dental, and graduate students in the anatomical sciences. A life-long learner and educator, Dr. Urbanek serves as adjunct faculty at the A.T. Still University Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health, and avidly lectures to the dental and OMS community throughout the country. He has authored several chapters in various Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery textbooks. His surgical interests focus on complex dental implantology, bone grafting, and soft tissue management.
